Have you ever wanted to know if a recipe was yummy before you cooked it?

As I sit here at the computer looking through pinterest trying to figure out meals that I can cook through the busy month of baseball season I look at recipes and think "I wish I knew if they were truly yummy before I waste my time and money on them"

So I got to thinking. I have cooked many meals from websites why not post how they turned out so that other people don't have to experience the bad or hard ones. So that is what I have decided to do. I have two boards on pinterest titled "Foods I want to try" and "Yummy"

The recipe's under yummy I have tried and they turned out awesome. So it saves you time and money. If there are any recipe's that you want me to try feel free to comment and send me a link and I'll try.

January was a Bust

Well the last time I blogged out our dinner was January. In January I made a two week dinner calendar to help "save time". Well that was a complete BUST. I think looking back my biggest mistake was that I tried to schedule complex dinner's every night to cook, And let me be honest when I have worked a busy 12 hour day the last thing I want to do is come home and cook and then clean the kitchen before bed.

So I have decided that I am going to try this again. I am going to schedule some easy dinners along with a few complex dinners. I am going to do a monthly calendar and instead of having to go by a certain meal on a particular day. My goal is to write a meal down on every day of the month on a blank calendar and when we cook the meal(on any day) then we will mark it off and at the end of the month I can see what worked for us.

The kids are out for the summer and my biggest goal is to NOT eat out very much. Now I am realistic, I know that we will eat out some. Due to I still work 12 hour shifts, the husband still works nights, and Hunter is playing baseball (which is mainly in the evenings) But I would like to cut it to once a week or less. So I am going to work on my meal list and when I am done I will post it so yall can see what is being eaten in the Smith household. Wish me luck.

BBQ pineapple Pulled Pork

You will need:
1. 4-6lb pork shoulder
2. 1 bottle of BBQ sauce
3. 1 15oz can of diced pineapples, undrained.
4. All purpose seasoning

Since the pork shoulder I bought was a little over 6lbs I doubled the recipe. I placed pork shoulder in bag. Rubbed it all over with all purpose seasoning. Then I mixed everything together in a large freezer bag and placed it in the freezer. When you are ready to cook it, Take it out of the freezer bag and place in crock pot. Cook on high for 6 hours or low for 10 hours. When finished shred pork and serve on hamburger buns, rice, or mashed potato's. When I cook it I will let you know how it taste.

Boneless pork loin turned into pork chops.

Bought a 9.5 lb pork loin for 19.00 and turned it into boneless porkchops. Got a total of 39 pork chops.

January Menu. Month 1 of my adventure.

OK so between me working 12 hour shifts and the hubby working nights we have found it very hard to plan dinners and seem to be eating alot of fast food lately. Not to mention basketball/ Cheerleading hasn't even started yet. So I have decided that I would try to plan out 2 weeks of dinners to start with (My goal is to plan meals monthly). It seems like if we have the food and meals planned out ahead of time then it isn't so hard to throw something in the crock pot. So we went shopping today at Sam's and walmart to get all the lovely ingredients. My list so far that I got ingredients for is:

1. BBQ pineapple pulled pork
2. Slow- Cooker Lasagna
3. Lemon Garlic Chicken
4. Crock Pot Ravioli Casserole
5. Sesame Ginger Slow-cooker
6.Beef Taco Soup
7.Callie Chicken Soft Taco (this one is for lunches)
8. Crock pot Pizza Soup
9. Peperonchini Sandwiches
10. Brown Sugar Chicken
11. Slow cooker San Fran Pork chops.
12. Turkey sausage and Potato's skillet meal

The majority of these meals I got off of another blogger's website but for some reason I cannot tag her in this one so that she gets the credit. I will post the recipes so that if any of y'all would live to try them then you can. As i cook the meals I will take a picture and rate them. These are just a few of the pic I took today. There is alot more food esp meat. We bought the meat in bulk so that it would make multiple meals.
